Finance Supervisor - Gastineau Human Services
Starting Salary Range: $81,000 - 115,000 per year depending on experience and education.
Job Summary:
The Finance Supervisor will supervise three positions including two Accounting Assistants and one Grants and Contracts Specialist. The position delegates tasks to its staff, drafts interim financial statements and reports, and creates forecasts predicting future activities. This position is permanent, full-time, exempt, and reports directly to the Finance and Administration Director.Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises two Accounting Assistants and one Grants and Contracts Specialist.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees Corporation accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and grant administration.
- Drafts interim financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, Board of Director reports, and assists with grant and contract reports.
- Compares revenue and projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; Works with Finance and Administration Director to advise on necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Provides oversight of all aspects of Resident Trust accounting, Juno House clients’ accounts, primary accounting functions for behavioral health services, and all other financial accounts.
- Ensures compliance with fiscal policies, procedures, GAAP.
- Oversees grants and contracts for the agency including applications, tracking, and reporting.
- Provides oversight of the fixed assets/ real personal property tracking, inventory, and disposal.
- Oversees financial aspects of payroll including employee benefits and taxes.
- Other duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar field required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Journey-level accounting experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must pass a DHSS background check.
- Must have a current driver’s license and be insurable by current GHS auto insurance carrier.
- Must pass drug test upon hire.
